This hybrid experimental video and prose work explores place, queer identity, and desire, asking how identity shifts across geographies and how categorizing our selves both shapes us and invites resistance. The project draws on the work of scholars and artists such as bell hooks, Trinh T. Minh-ha, Japonica Brown-Saracino, Larry Mitchell, and Lauren Berlant.
The work takes two forms: a 4 minute 48 second experimental film and a 28-page handbound Riso-printed zine (also available in digital form).
